Proud Sponsor of the John Deere Classic

Since the first year of the Golf Classic in 1971, Hanford Insurance Agency has been involved in many ways, cheering on the amazing competitors who have visited this great area and tradition.

The history behind the John Deere Classic and the land now occupied by TPC Deere Run dates back to the pre-civil war. “Before the American Civil War, a young lawyer named Abraham Lincoln found himself in a battle between the railroad and steamboat industries” – The History Behind the John Deere Classic.  There are many landmarks of rich historical context throughout the entire TPC Deere Run course including: “The 429-yard par-4 fifth hole at TPC Deere Run is called “Lincoln’s Crossing”. A bridge connects its green with the sixth tee, commemorating the first rail crossing over the Mississippi, and its connection to a future president.”

Throughout this shared local history, Hanford Insurance Agency has supported our communities and clients.  We have helped protect our local citizens for more than 160 years.

Also similar to the organizers of Deere Run, we celebrate our past and embrace the future of this ever-changing area. We support John Deere and their efforts and continue to help in countless ways. Quietly applauding from the sidelines, we’ve supported this tournament, and embrace the great golfers who have walked the course in Davenport, Coal Valley, and Silvis.  https://johndeereclassic.com/

The Golf Classic has changed just as our products have changed – but the goal remains the same – to provide exceptional support and a personalized and easy insurance experience.

We’re proud hometown supporters of the John Deere Classic, now and for years to come!
